The Department: 

WADJA Aboriginal Family Place was established to provide a culturally sensitive service for Aboriginal children who attend RCH.  Wadja is currently seeking applicants for the 2025 Paediatric Fellow Position.

The Role:

• Wadja Paediatric Fellow
• Part time, fixed term position (12 months) commencing 02/02/2026
• 0.5FTE (must include full day on Wednesday)

Key clinical accountabilities

Clinical Services

• Provision of clinical care in the outpatient setting in a supervised capacity
• Undertake developmental/health assessments of children who are vulnerable, involving synthesis of information including social and cultural factors to form a management plan
• Participation in weekly clinical multidisciplinary meeting, focusing on mental health, general health, developmental, educational, social, protective and cultural concerns.

Secondary Consultation

• Provision of Secondary Consultation to the VACCA Healing Team (one day per week at VACCA Preston Office)

To be successful you will have:

• MBBS or equivalent
• Registration with AHPRA and eligibility for medical registration within Victoria
• Registered in RACP Paediatric Advanced Training Program
