The Department:
WADJA Aboriginal Family Place was established to provide a culturally sensitive service for Aboriginal children who attend RCH. Wadja is currently seeking applicants for the 2027 Paediatric Fellow Position.
The Role:
- Wadja Paediatric Fellow
- Part time, fixed term position (12 months) commencing 01/02/2027
- 0.5FTE (must include full day on Wednesday)
Key clinical accountabilities:
Clinical Services
- Provision of clinical care in the outpatient setting in a supervised capacity
- Undertake developmental/health assessments of children who are vulnerable, involving synthesis of information including social and cultural factors to form a management plan
- Participation in weekly clinical multidisciplinary meeting, focusing on mental health, general health, developmental, educational, social, protective and cultural concerns.
Secondary Consultation
- Provision of Secondary Consultation to the VACCA Healing Team (one day per week at VACCA Preston Office)
To be successful you will have:
- MBBS or equivalent
- Registration with AHPRA and eligibility for medical registration within Victoria
- Registered in RACP Paediatric Advanced Training Program
