The Opportunity:
The Specialist Clinics Team operate the RCH’s outpatient service for all medical and surgical departments of the hospital. There are entry level ongoing positions available (some customer-facing too!) Also open to full-time and part-time applicants.
As an Administration Officer your daily tasks may include a combination of:
- Maintaining accurate patient data, completing referral and discharge tasks, and overseeing triage and waitlist processes
- Managing communication with clinicians and staff through email, messages, paging and switchboard tasks
- Providing a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for patients and families (if patient-facing)
- Setting up clinic rooms, keep workstations and waiting areas clean, tidy and welcoming

Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 10 - Managers and Administrative Workers.
This will range from AO10 (Grade 1, Level 1) to AO14 (Grade 1, Level 3), $60,780.72-$65,036.40 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Strong communication skills with a professional and positive attitude
- An ability to take accountability for your own workload, whilst also contributing to a team
- Previous customer service experience is highly regarded
- Whilst not essential, an understanding of the Victorian Healthcare system is a benefit to your application

Other requirements:
- Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
- Valid Working with Children Check
