About the Role:

 

This is an Ongoing Full Time position at 80 hours (1FTE) per fortnight working as an Allied Health Assistant in the Social Work Department. 

As a member of the multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for providing support where directed for families and children requiring care at the Royal Children’s Hospital. This includes sourcing and maintaining resources for families, including charitable and family support information as well as assisting with referrals and liaison with external agencies.

 

Classification for this position will be AHA Grade 3, IN30 (FTE base salary $65,754  per annum, plus superannuation, plus salary packaging).

 

What you’ll achieve:

 

  • Support the RCH Social Workers in providing high quality care to children and families presenting with a broad range of psychosocial needs

  • Assist in finding and referring patients and families to appropriate services

  • Create partnerships with children, adolescents and families

 

Your skills and experience:

 

  • Previous experience in allied health assistance, or related health fields
  • Formal Qualification Allied Health Assistance or equivalent

About the Department:

 

RCH Social Work is a growing team of 46.6 EFT and over 65 employees and is the largest Allied Health team at RCH. Social workers work in collaboration with Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff across the hospital as well as provide community liaison to ensure delivery of great psychosocial care for patients and families.
