Job Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Nurse Pool

About the Role
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Part Time Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) position at 40 per fortnight within the Nursing and Administrative Workforce Unit. The ANUM role acts as a delegate for the NAW Nurse Manager and provides management and leadership to the NAW Nursing workforce. The ANUM will work 5 days per fortnight on weekdays (actual days negotiable), 0730 - 1600. The role is responsible for supporting the NAW Nursing Workforce to deliver comprehensive, safe and evidence-based nursing practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes for all patients.
Classification for this position will range from YW11 – YW12 (FTE base salary <$XX to $XX> per annum, plus superannuation).
What you’ll achieve:
- Provide guidance, leadership, mentoring and support to all Nurse Pool staff to assist them reaching their full potential
- Contribute to operational efficiency by ensuring skilled nurses are appropriately allocated to deliver high quality patient care.
- Fulfil duty of care by practicing within scope of practice in accordance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board guidelines
Your skills and experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Profession al practice Portfolio
- Previous ANUM role or ‘Nurse In Charge’ experience desirable

About the Department
The Nursing and Administration Workforce (NAW) Unit is responsible for the coordination of staffing replacements and allocations for nursing and administrative vacancies across RCH and operates between 0530 – 2400, 7 days a week. NAW works closely with the Access & Hospital Management team to ensure all wards and departments are appropriately staffed to meet their operational requirements and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
