Neonatal Registrars - August 2026 - RCH NICU

 

About the Role 
Applications are sought from suitably qualified medical practitioners for Neonatal Registrar positions. Positions are available commencing August 2026, and may be for 6 or 12 months; full-time or part-time.Registrar positions are designed for trainees considering pursuing a career in Neonatology, or who are seeking further experience in neonatal medicine. 

 

About the Department
The Royal Children’s Hospital is a paediatric teaching hospital, and its Newborn Intensive Care Unit acts as a quaternary referral centre for neonates with complex medical and surgical problems from Victoria, its neighbouring states, and overseas. The Unit is the major regional centre for neonatal surgery and is recognised for its expertise in the provision of advanced respiratory support. There is an active research program in several areas. 

 

Your Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 6 months experience in tertiary level neonatal intensive care is required for registrar applicants. 
- All candidates must have current AHPRA registration and be eligible to start work in Australia at the time of application submission.
