About the Role
This is a Permanent Part Time position at 60.8 hours per fortnight within the Quality Department. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the divisional teams across RCH to implement, embed and exceed minimal requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards. The Clinical Excellence Partner reports to the Associate Director Quality and drives oversight, leadership and improvement opportunities to the various committees that support high quality safe care at RCH. This includes committees that support RCH efforts in meeting the requirements of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and the eight NSQHS standards and supporting the local areas in preparation of short notice accreditation.
Classification for this position will range from AO71 – AO75, Grade 7 Level 1 to Grade 7 Level 5 (FTE base salary $111,103 to $121,274 per annum, plus superannuation).
What you’ll achieve:
- Monitor trends relating to quality and safety across RCH working with divisional partners to ensure high quality, safe care.
- Contribute to RCH quality systems to support the Operational Excellence - Clinical Governance Framework
- Foster collegiate relationships with external stakeholders.
Your skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or significant relevant industry experience.
- Proven leadership experience in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior team member.
- Proven experience in the review of adverse patient safety events including the development of the systems to support patient safety.

About the Department
The RCH Quality team is dynamic and collaborative, supporting patient safety, patient experience and clinical excellence systems and processes across the health service. The Quality Department supports clinical governance processes, coordinates accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards and provides expert advice to staff on matters relating to patient safety and patient experience.
