About the Role:

 

This is a Fixed Term Full Time Parental Leave Cover position for 12 months in the Procurement & Supply department. We are seeking experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant for the role of a Clinical Product Advisor (CPA) to be the clinical interface between the Procurement team and clinical stakeholders, with a key focus on enhancing and developing relationships and mutual understanding, whilst ensuring clinical suitability and legislative compliance.

 

The Procurement team at RCH is transforming and this exciting roles will complement a team of talented procurement professionals as we seek to deliver enhanced value to the business.

 

What you'll achieve: 

  • Facilitating, managing and advising on the introduction of new and existing products, including evaluations with a view to improve clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness 
  • Work with the Purchasing Category Managers to undertake product range reviews across clinical categories and subcategories to achieve better clinical and commercial outcomes and ensure the variety of products and services within the organisation effectively meet patient needs, taking into consideration whole life costs
  • Analyse trens of suppliers with repeated issues and faults 
  • Act as a key point of contact for external sales representatives from Health Care companies and manage the effective liasison with clinical staff

 

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience coupled with sound clinical product knowledge of medical and surgical consumables.
  • Demonstrated proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others with diplomacy, professionalism, and discretion, building mutually beneficial and positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficient organisational skills with a heavy focus on delegation and effective workload management, ensuring concurrent tasks and key deliverables are met.
  • A proven track record in innovation including the identification and implementation of solutions to fix the root cause of issues and key business challenges, with an emphasis on being a catalyst for change and best practice.
  • Demonstrated strategic mind-set focusing on being proactive and resolving key business challenges, with the demonstrated ability to avoid being consumed by tactical and administrative issues.
