Clinical Nurse Consultant – Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies

 

 

About the Role

This is a Part Time, fixed term position to cover for 12 months, at 0.5 FTE/ 40 hours per fortnight within the Children’s Cancer Centre.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapies is a member of the Advanced Practice Nursing team in the CCC and works alongside the Consultant Paediatric Oncologists – BMT, and CNC – BMT, to provide comprehensive and collaborative care to patients and their families. This role will have a focus on research, education and program development within the CCC BMT service.

Classification for this position will range from CAPR3.1 – CAPR3.2 ($118,149.20 - 124,368.40 per annum pro rata)

 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Combine clinical expertise with leadership and educational skills to provide comprehensive care, support and guidance to patients and healthcare teams
  • Contribute to the culture of continuous improvement within the BMT stream
  • Participate in projects and/ or clinical trials, collaborating to improve patient outcomes

 

Your skills and experience

 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP)
  • Post graduate qualification in the area of practice (or willing to work towards)
  • Proven ability to apply advanced clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to complex patient care situations
