About the Role:

This is a Permanent, Part-Time position at 0.6 FTE/42 hours per fortnight within the Children’s Cancer Centre. The Consultant Paediatric Oncologist provides expertise in, and oversight of, the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care for children with a diagnosis of cancer, and their families. This role delivers strong and supportive supervision of trainee and junior medical staff and has a key responsibility for contribution to the education and research programs of the Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC).

 

Classification for this position will be in accordance with AMA Victoria – Victoria Public Health Sector Medical Specialists Agreement 2022–2026.

 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Contribute strong clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents and their families
  • Actively contribute to key departmental, hospital or program strategic initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with other CCC stream clinicians to facilitate clinical service improvement through clinical audit and research, and promotion of a positive research culture

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and evidence of relevant clinical practice
  • Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the field of paediatric oncology

Other requirements:

  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
  • Valid Working with Children Check
