About the Role:
The roles are part time fixed term due to LSL backfill. The first position is from February 2nd 2026 - May 31st at .6 eft. The second positon is from March 30th 2026 - August 30th 2026 at .7 eft.
You will be responsible for:
The assessment and management of children and families with neurodisability seen by the department of Neurodevelopment and Disability at RCH. You will consult and liaise with senior medical and surgical colleagues at RCH, primary care physicians in the community and colleagues in regional centres to ensure children with disabilities and their families recieve optimally coordinated care. This may involve transfer of care and shared care whre appropriate.
What you will achieve:
- Undertake educational programs for medical students, junior and senior medical staff, allied health professionals, teachers and other groups as requested
- Attend and contribute to Department meetings whenever possible. To advocate for children with disabilities and their families in conjunction with hospital policy
- Ensure letters and care plans are written in a timely fashion and reach referring doctors, other relevant health professionals and families
Your Skills and Experience:
- MB, BS or equivalent
- Tertiary qualification in paediatric medicine (FRACP or equivalent)
- Eligibilty for medical registration in Victoria
