Customer Service Officer, Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service

About the Role
This is a Permanent Full-Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Parkville.
You will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative and customer focused duties, involving a high level of interaction with children, young people and their families and various staff at the RCH. You will be part of a team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Gatehouse reception and appointment booking system including all duties and responsibilities required across these functions. You will provide general administrative support to clinicians, managers and other staff within Gatehouse.
What you’ll achieve:
- Successfully manage Gatehouse reception desk as per local procedures
- Interact positively with children, young people, families and RCH staff and clinicians.
- Ensure the integrity of Gatehouse data records through the specific tasks of inputting, filing and monitoring
Classification for this position will range from Managers and Administrators Grade 1, Year 1-5 Classification: AO10-AO12 ($58,442.8-64,610 Base Salary plus superannuation plus salary packaging).
Your skills and experience:
- Previous telephone reception or call centre experience.
- Demonstrated experience in using various computer applications and competent in Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous experience working with databases and health record management and booking systems is desirable.

About Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service
Gatehouse is a department of the Royal Children’s Hospital and a specialist sexual assault service.
Gatehouse provides therapeutic interventions and support for Children and young people aged 0-17 and their non-offending family member and carers living in the Brimbank Melton or Western Melbourne areas (Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Melbourne Hobsons Bay and Wyndham LGAs) or who are inpatients at the RCH. Services are provided at the service’s community sites in Melton, Werribee and at the RCH.
