Job Title: Data Analyst Grade 6 – Decision Support Unit

About the Role
This is a fixed term part time position at 0.6 FTE / 45.6 hours per fortnight within the Decision Support Unit. You will be responsible for report and extract development along with maintenance and analysis tasks primarily using Epic’s Clarity database and Decision Support’s enterprise data warehouse. You will work with the RCH Departments to understand and support the hospital’s reporting and data extraction requirements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll achieve:
- Contribute to achieving RCH objectives through the development of reporting capacity in the DSU across different areas.
- Perform analysis of reporting requirements, enhancement requests and other technical issues associated with the EMR and the DSU data warehouse.
- Establish productive relations with key stakeholders and other data providers.
Classification for this position will range from AO61 – AO65 (base salary $110,479 to $111,051 per annum, plus superannuation)
Your skills and experience:
- A tertiary degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced skills in the development and deployment of reports using Microsoft Power BI reports or similar tools.
- Experience with data integration, the use of BI tools and relational databases.

About the Decision Support Unit
The Decision Support Unit provides mission critical data and reporting to all areas of the hospital to assist in the achievement of performance management initiatives and strategic goals. This includes data extraction, funding and revenue analysis, patient costing and benchmarking with external organisations.
