About the Role
This is a Part Time Fixed Term position for 2 years at 32 per fortnight within the Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service (PICS) in the Victorian Childhood Cancer Outcomes Registry (VCCOR) team.
You will be responsible for helping to strengthen the quality of data that underpins statewide improvements in childhood cancer care. We are seeking a detail‑oriented Data Quality Officer to support initiatives that enhance the completeness and accuracy of registry data.
Classification for this position will range from AO31-AO35 classification codes (FTE base salary $74,444 to $82,264 per annum, plus superannuation)
What you’ll achieve:
- Liaise with clinicians and health information services to clarify records and resolve data discrepancies.
- Contribute to routine and ad-hoc data quality audits and support continuous improvement of data quality processes.
- Lead the ongoing development, review and maintenance of administrative processes to capture VCCOR data in a consistent manner.
Your skills and experience
- Experience or interest in health data entry, administrative support, or clinical audit work
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical record systems and databases, or the ability to learn quickly
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality, reliable data
- A collaborative, proactive approach to supporting system‑wide improvement
