The Role:


This new role will ensure high quality nutritional care is provided to paediatric patients and their families within a variety of specialist and medical units in the inpatient and outpatient setting. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective, and be responsibile for communicating effectively with patients and families to ensure their understanding and that their needs and views are included in plans and actions.


What you’ll achieve:

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including food service and formula room staff, to ensure patient and ward needs are addressed effectively
  • Participate in department activities such as quality projects, and to undertake student supervision and teaching
  • Participation as a member of the broader RCH team to develop and offer best care to children and families
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective
  • Maintain an active program of professional development, relevant to the assigned clinical area of paediatric nutrition


Salary for this role is from $87,282 to $98,285 per annum, plus superannuation


Your skills and experience:

  • Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
  • Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
  • Minimum postgraduate degree Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • Experience in clinical paediatric dietetics (Minimum of 2 years) is desirable
  • Post-basic training in paediatric nutrition, or willingness to undertake the Certificate of Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics during employment
