About the Role:
This is a Full Time Fixed Term position until 31/12/2026 within the Medical Imaging Department. This position exists to provide a quality imaging service to patients and referrers. As a general MIT the required roles include imaging modalities as per the current skills of the incumbent, and to expand and improve those skills.
It is expected the Grade 1 or 2 MIT learns and applies specialist skills across modalities. Under the direction of the Allied Health Manager – Medical Imaging and deputies, the role contributes to the ongoing care of paediatric patients in spheres of diagnosis, disease monitoring and treatment. The role also provides for the ongoing supervision of intern and student MITs, under the guidance of the Lead Clinical Educator – MIT. The goal is to maintain a consistent high standard of imaging in order to succeed in producing reliable, timely and important results which can make a difference.
Classification for this position will range from AF4 to CW5 (FTE base salary $70,590.00 to $103,724.40 per annum, plus superannuation).

Actively contribute to delivering high‑quality imaging services across inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients’ settings

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital to support seamless, patient- centred care

Engage in continuous learning and skill development, adapting to new technologies, techniques, and practices within Medical Imaging
Your skills and experience
- Diploma or degree in Applied Science/Diagnostic Radiography as outlined for eligibility for membership of ASMIRT
- Demonstration of appropriate experience within the Medical Imaging field
- Current membership of AHPRA
- Current Victorian DH radiation licence
