 An exciting opportunity exists for a suitable candidate to join the Psycho-oncology team at the RCH. The RCH Children's Cancer Centre (CCC), is currently seeking a Mental Health clinician to join the multi-disciplinary Psycho-oncology team. As a member of a Psycho-oncology team in the CCC, the Mental Health clinician is responsible for provision of mental health services to children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer and their families. This involves triaging of referrals, appropriate assessment and management of patients, contribution to multidisciplinary meetings and participation in educational and quality/research activities. This position is being offered as a full-time Grade 2 or Grade 3 position for a fixed term of 12 months.


​​​​​​To be successful in this role you will have:

•    A tertiary qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
•    Current Registration with AHPRA (where professionally relevant). For Psychologists, this means full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement as a Psychologist  with the Psychology Registration Board of Australia
•    Eligibility for Membership in Victoria of an appropriate Professional Body
•    Experience working with children and young people in a hospital setting including implementing effective interventions for children and young people and managing a complex caseload.

•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments.
•    Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and inter-personal skills.
