About the Roles:

We have multiple part time roles available in both permanent and fixed term capacity varying from 12 to 32 hours per fortnight within the Nutrition and Food Services Department. 

You will be responsible in ensuring patients receive meals suitable to their individual dietary requirements. In this position, you will assist patients with selecting menu options that meet their requirements, while working closely with nursing staff and dietitians to clarify any specific dietary needs. The role also involves performing accurate data entry in the Delegate Foodservice™ system to produce tray cards and production lists for the kitchen, ensuring the correct meals are prepared and delivered. 

 

Classification for this position is GS6, Food Monitor ($31.65 per hour + superannuation).

 

What you’ll achieve: 

  • Work as part of a team to achieve high quality patient meals service 

  • Comply with the principles of food safety and the RCH Food Safety Program  

  • Comply with all hospital and departmental policies and procedures 

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Current or previous tertiary study in an area which includes nutrition  

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)  

  • Good computer literacy skills 

  • Experience in Delegate Foodservice™ software an advantage

About the Department:

The Department of Nutrition and Food Services is a large department of around 120 staff incorporating the main kitchen, central formula room and the clinical dietetics service. 

The main kitchen provides 3 cook fresh meals and a mid-meals service for approximately 100 patients per day. The central formula room produces formula, enteral feeds and fortifies expressed breast milk for approximately 120 patients per day.
