The Royal Children’s Hospital has a full-time vacancy available for a suitably qualified Paediatric Registrar to work on the Medical Workforce Unit’s rotating roster.

 

 

This position provides experience in a wide range of ambulatory and inpatient clinical areas;

- To provide broad knowledge in the basic sciences and clinical practice of paediatric medicine.

- To provide experience in common clinical procedures.

- To develop clinical acumen and decision making skills, interpersonal skills and professionals skills.

- To develop non-clinical skills including critical appraisal, evidence-based practice, quality improvement skills.

 

Applicants must have at least 24 months paediatric experience, including at least 6 months of neonatology. Applicants must also be eligible for general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

 

Please note this position will not enter you into the Victorian Paediatric Basic Training program.

 

The position commences Monday 31st May 2021 and is fixed term until 6th February 2022.

 

Rotations for this position will include;

Term 2 – Specialty Nights and Relief

Term 3 – Oncology

Term 4 – Relief
