The Role:
As an Operating Theatre Technician at The Royal Children's Hospital operating suite you will be considered a valued member of our professional health care team. Operating theatre technician’s provide important support for our patient’s, families, and guardians under the direction of nursing, anesthetic and surgical staff. We deliver great patient care within the operating theatre suite including such examples as setting up the theatre environment, transporting patients and equipment, patient positioning, cleaning + maintaining theatre equipment and environment.
Essential attributes:
- Demonstrated experience as a theatre technician
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Certificate 3 in health services assistance Operating Theatre Technician.
- Certificate 4 in health services assistance Operating Theatre Technician.
Desirable Attributes:
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dynamic and motivated.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and effective time management
