Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.  The RCH is the only provider of heart transplant services and CAR T-cell therapy for paediatrics in Australia.  RCH is an effective advocate for patients and their families with a particular focus on vulnerable children and increasingly, mental health in young people.  The hospital also supports many health promotion and prevention programs.  The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds.  Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

Applications are now open for the position of Paediatric Cardiology Non-Invasive Imaging Fellow to commence from February, 2026. This appointment is a fixed-term, full time position available for the duration of 12 months. 

 

The Cardiology Department at The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) provides a diagnostic and treatment service for patients referred with actual, or suspected, heart disease.  The service comprises outpatient facilities, inpatient provision, a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigational facilities, cardiac catheterisation and angiography with a range of interventional cardiology procedures.

 

Our goal is to ensure that all infants and children born with heart defects, or acquiring heart disease during childhood, have access to effective diagnostic and treatment facilities and are given the best possible chance of enjoying a full and healthy life.
