Job Title: 2026 Rehabilitation Fellow (part-time)

About the Role

This is a fixed term position at 43 hours per fortnight within the rehabilitation service from 03 August 2026 until 31 January 2027.

 

This role primarily provides regional rehabilitation clinics under the direct supervision of a rehabilitation consultant. You will have the opportunity to work in both inpatient and ambulatory clinic at the RCH in a supported work environment which promotes expert learning within this specialty area. 

 

Classification for this position will range from HM25 to HM 30 according to experience (base salary $4,963.40 to $6,831.62 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation).

 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Provision of rehabilitation clinics in the VPRS regional sites under the supervision of a rehabilitation consultant
  • Provide rehabilitation clinics at the Royal Children’s Hospital
  • Gain experience in inpatient rehabilitation and provide support for the rehabilitation registrar
  • Participate in audit and quality projects as directed by rehabilitation director

 

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor of Medicine or equivalent
  • Registered Advanced Trainee in Paediatrics (RACP), or post-FRACP trainee
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Victoria
  • Work well as a team member and motivated others within a multidisciplinary team
  • Have well developed communication skills and be able to effectively liaise with team members, referring doctors, staff and consumers

About the Department

The Rehabilitation Department is an interdisciplinary service providing specialised care for children with acquired and congenital disability. The RCH team is the main site for paediatric rehabilitation in Victoria and is part of a statewide service. The VPRS at Royal Children’s Hospital is a dynamic service with dedicated highly skilled interdisciplinary clinicians that work with the broader RCH team to provide specialised paediatric rehabilitation.  The VPRS partners with families to thrive and values family centered care, partnerships, innovation, participation and diversity.
