Pathology Collector

About the Role

This is a Part Time Fixed Term till 8/12/25 position at 48 hours per fortnight within the Laboratory Services – Pathology Collection team. You will be responsible for providing collection service for both and inpatients and outpatients at both The Royal Women’s and the Royal Children’s Hospital.  This service also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external Medical practitioners.

 

Classification for this position will range from IN24- IN27  (base salary 62,540.40 - 71,141.20 per annum, plus superannuation)

 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Develop and maintina a high standard of Pathology collection sevice and customer sevice - respecting the wishes of child, parent and caregiver.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and Hospital Policy and Procedures
  • Provide a safe and comfortable environment for staff, patients and carers.

 

Your skills and experience

  •  Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection
  • Previous  3 years’ experience in Public or Private Pathology Collection desirable but not essential

About the Department

Pathology Collection is an integral part of Laboratory Services – RCH Pathology.  Pathology collection provides collection service for both and inpatients and outpatients The Royal Women’s and the Royal Children’s Hospital.  It also provides a collection service for VCGS and other external Medical practitioners.
