Patient Services Assistant
- Casual position at $38.44 per hour
- Rosters 6-weeks in advance

About the Role
An opportunity has become available for an expereinced Patient services Assistant to join Australia's leading Paediatric Hospital.
Working in the Reactive Team, the PSA’s provide indirect patient care, contributing to the maintenance of a welcoming, clean environment for all and supporting the clinical areas through the delivery of equipment and cleaning services.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Unit/Ward Housekeeping including cleaning patient rooms and equipment in room/s when required and on discharge according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide nursing staff assistance with intra/inner-ward patient transport
- Maintaing equipment care & management in accordance with manufacturor/legislative requirements
- General unit/ward support such as participating in quality assurance programs
- Actively participate as a positive teammember
Please note, this position is casual in nature. As rosters are provided in 6-weeks in advance, your first few weeks of employment will consist of staggered shifts.
What you'll bring to the role
Experience in a similar position as well as a Certificate III in Health Service Assistance is an essential requirement for this role.
In addition to this you will bring:
- Knowledge of infection controls principles and procedures
- Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a multifunctional and diverse environment.
- Willingness to undertake required training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to resolve conflict in a professionally.
- Capability to build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse team.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role in line with manual handling policies

Other requirements:
