About the Role;

 

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department

You will be responsible for providing support to the Pharmacy department through impresting of medications to clinical areas, dispensing of medications and manufacturing in sterile and non-sterile medications. 

 

What you’ll achieve:

 

  • Working in sterile manufacturing (non-chemotherapy) 
  • Dispensing in a busy outpatient setting
  • Ensuring medications are available in clinical settings

 

Classification for this position will TH6

 

Your skills and experience:

 

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR experience working in a science or laboratory based field
  • Experience in a public hospital pharmacy department (desirable)
  • Suitable hospital pharmacy technician course (certificate III or IV), or working towards a qualification (desirable)

 

About the Pharmacy Department:

 

We are a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children’s Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
