About the Role:

 

This is a Fixed-Term Full-Time Parental Leave cover position at 80 hours per fortnight until Nov 2025 within the Pharmacy Department

You will be responsible for supporting access and flow of surgical patients throughout the hospital. This will involve liaising with patients and families, pharmacists and nursing staff and dispensing discharge prescriptions.

 

 

What You’ll Achieve:

 

  • Working closely with pharmacists and nursing staff on surgical wards
  • Prioritise, dispense and co-ordinate discharge medications for surgical patients
  • Manage inpatient medication supplies and returns to reduce waste

 

Classification for this position will be TH10.

 

 

Your Skills and Experience:

 

  • Experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Prioritisation skills
  • High attention to detail

About The Department:

 

We are a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children’s Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
