About the role:

This is a fixed-term full-time position at 1.0 FTE per fortnight to cover Parental Leave until June 2026.  You will be responsible for clinical care and leadership within the Respiratory Medicine stream, and leadership of the broader cardiorespiratory team of the Physiotherapy Department.

 

Classifiation for this position will range from VB24 - VB27 (base salary $128,159 to $138,928 FTE per annum, plus superannuation).

 

What you'll achieve:

  • Be a source of clinical expertise, advocacy and guidance within the clinical stream, across the Physiotherapy Department and the broader multidisciplinary team
  • Lead high-performing clinical teams, and provide expert, authoritative judgement and advice on clinical issues as required
  • Articulate and embody the purpose and values of RCH
  • Lead and motivate staff to strive for and achieve interprofessional team goals and shared responsibility for the provision of care
  • Lead and contribute to improvement in department management and function, quality improvement and research
  • Develop and foster a lifelong learning culture across the department, and support grade 1, 2 and 3 physiotherapists in developing and accomplishing professional goals and objectives through clinical support, supervision and performance reviews

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Hold a Physiotherapy qualification and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Have extensive specialised knowledge in an area of physiotherapy practice relevant to the Respiratory Medicine caseload
  • At least ten years of clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of a clinical Physiotherapy team
  • Demonstrated experience in the eduation and supervision of physiotherapists
