Grade 3 Physiotherapist – Children’s Pain Management

About the Role
This is a Permanent Fixed-term position at 27 hours per fortnight within the Children’s Pain Management Team
You will be part of the multidisciplinary team performing assessments and developing management plans for children and adolescents presenting with chronic pain. This service is provided on an outpatient basis with the primary objective to return children and adolescents to their normal level of functioning
Classification for this position will range from VB7-VC1 (base salary $104,135 to $118,981 per annum (prorata for part-time), plus superannuation)
What you’ll achieve:
- Integrate information from multiple sources to develop and deliver excellent, evidence-based and holistic clinical care to young people with chronic pain
- Maintain quality standards and excellence in clinical outcomes through evidence-based practice and partnerships with internal and external healthcare professionals and service providers
- Be a source of clinical expertise, advocacy and guidance within the clinical team and across the wider RCH
- Collaborate with team members on the development, updating and implementation of treatment protocols across the clinical team
Your skills and experience
- Recognised degree qualification from an accredited Course/University in Physiotherapy
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Extensive experience in either: pain management, rehabilitation and/or neurological physiotherapy

About the Department
The Anaesthesia and Pain Management Department is one of the largest departments at the Royal Children’s hospital, supporting patients both in an inpatient and outpatient capacity. The department consists of highly specialised medical staff, allied health and support staff providing high quality care to all patients.
