About the Role:
There are two fixed-term (12 months), full-time positions at 1.0 FTE/80 hours per fortnight within the Physiotherapy Department. These positions are available for new graduate physiotherapists to undertake a graduate year, commencing in late January/early February 2026.
These roles are part of our Paediatric Rotation Program (PRP), which offers the opportunity to rotate on a four-monthly basis between various specialty areas, developing skills and experience across a wide range of clinical specialties and working towards a career in paediatric physiotherapy. As part of the PRP, you will provide physiotherapy services to children and adolescents as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure that physiotherapy services are innovative, evidence-informed and provided in a child and family centred context.
Classification for these positions will range from Grade 1 Year 1 to Grade 1 Year 2 (FTE base salary $70,590 to $74,173 per annum, plus superannuation).
What you'll achieve:
- Provide evidence-based physiotherapy services to patients referred by designated units, in collaboration with supervising clinicians.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of a holistic, streamlined approach to care that best meets the needs of the patient and their family.
- Work in a flexible manner and participate in other duties as allocated, consistent with skill level to ensure adequate cover and clinical care across the whole Physiotherapy Department service.
- Achieve and maintain competency in relevant skills in line with departmental requirements relevant to the role.
Your skills and experience:
- Hold a Physiotherapy degree qualification from an accredited course/university and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
- Have no more than six months of experience working as a graduated Physiotherapist.
- Successful completion of physiotherapy placements in large hospitals with high acuity caseloads.
