About the Role:
These are Permanent Full-Time positions at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department.
You will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality Clinical Pharmacy Services to wards at The Royal Children's Hospital along with some Outpatient rotations and Sterile Production. We are especially keen to hear from current hospital pharmacy interns ready to start their early career as an AHPRA register pharmacists in January 2025.
What You’ll Achieve:
- Develop and maintain clinical pharmacy expertise in specialist paediatrics.
- Involvement in projects and audits
- Be trained to perform sterile manufacturing.
- Assist with supervising and training pharmacy interns and students.
- Classification for these positions will range from SW5-SX5 depending on qualification and experience.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Registered to practice as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & your name will appear on the register.
- Internship in Hospital Pharmacy (Grade 1)
- Experience in Hospital Pharmacy (significant for Grade 2)
- Active participation with professional bodies (Grade 2)
- Experience with undertaking audits or developing guidelines (Grade 2)

About The Department:
We are a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children’s Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
