About the Role

  • The position is available as a fixed term part time position (32 hours per fortnight) to cover a period of Long Service from November 4 2024 until March 23 2025.

You will be responsible for….

  • Providing specialist inpatient and outpatient clinical psychological assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis, and their families.

 

Classification for this position will range from Grade 3 Year 1-4 of the MEDICAL SCIENTISTS, PHARMACISTS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2025 weekly full time salary $2041.50 – $2336.10 plus super annuation (as Nov 2024).

 

What you’ll achieve:

  • Liaising with internal and external providers to optimise care for children and their families.
  • Providing secondary consultation services to staff within the Cystic Fibrosis Team, and to other stakeholders (internal/external) as required
  • Maintain records to a high standard according to policy and procedures of the Psychology Service, the RCH, and the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Contribute to administrative/clinical meetings, educational activities, and service development activities as required by both the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and the Psychology Service
  • Contribute to research and/or quality improvement projects related to Cystic Fibrosis

 

Your skills and experience

  • Full registration under the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement in the area of practice of Clinical Psychology
  • Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC)-approved postgraduate course in Clinical Psychology
  • Eligible for application for, or hold, approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of clinical psychology at a minimum P2 (or equivalent) level
