The Role:


Ongoing .2 eft commencing January 1st 2023

Part Time Fixed Term -Sabbatical leave backfill .7 eft commencing March 2023 - December 2023 (job share an option)


An exciting opportunity exists to join the ND&D Department as a sessional specialist. The purpose of the position is to play a key role in the well-coordinated inpatient and outpatient care of children with an underlying disability. The successful applicant will work with multidisciplinary of ND&D and other relevant teams, including nursing, allied health, medical and administrative staff at RCH. The paediatricians will also be expected to contribute to the quality assurance, teaching and research activity of the department.


To be successful in the role you will have the following:

  • MB, BS or equivalent
  • Tertiary qualification in paediatric medicine (FRACP or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for medical registration within Victoria
  • Medicare provider number eligible for patient billing
  • Special knowledge, training and experience in developmental disability in childhood
  • Employees are required to undertake a National Criminal Check and a Working with Children check prior to commencing employment
