About the Role
This is a Full Time, ongoing position at 80 per fortnight at Gatehouse’s community-based services in Werribee and Melton.
You will provide operational leadership and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team providing therapeutic services to children and young people who have experienced sexual harm, and their families. You are responsible for the daily operations of the service including supporting timely access to services, ensuring the provision of high-quality therapeutic interventions, allocation of resources and management of staff.
Classification for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 4, Years 1-4 (SC53 – SC46), Occupational Therapy Grade 4, Years 1-4 (VG14 – VG17) or Psychology Grade 4, Years 1-5 (PM1 – PM5).
What you’ll achieve:
- Increased access to services, and promotion of safety, wellbeing and connection for children and young people using a trauma focused model of recovery.
- Development of a dynamic, flexible and skilled multidisciplinary workforce through effective staff management, facilitation of professional development opportunities and coordination and recruitment of new staff.
- Effective and strategic collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and programs within RCH and the community
- Safe, innovative, evidence-based service delivery through initiation of quality improvement projects.
Your skills and experience:
- Recognised qualification in relevant discipline with current registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership with professional body (where relevant)
- Demonstrated ability to lead a clinical service that is high-quality, client-centred, evidence-informed, and complies with relevant policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in leading people and program service delivery at an operational level with accountability for financial and people management functions.
- Demonstrated collaborative, interpersonal, relationship building and written communication skills to support integrated service delivery with children, young people and families, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.

About Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service
Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service is a Department of The Royal Children’s Hospital and a Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA) - a specialist sexual assault service.
Gatehouse is funded to provide therapeutic interventions, support and advocacy for Children and young people aged 0-17 and their non-offending family members living in the Brimbank Melton or Western Melbourne areas (Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Melbourne Hobsons Bay and Wyndham LGAs) or who are inpatients at the RCH. Services are provided in the community at Melton and Werribee and at the RCH.
