About SASH

SASH is a specialist sexual assault service, based in community sites in Western Melbourne and at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

SASH provides:

1. Sexual Assault Crisis Response for children following sexual harm (recent experience or disclosure) and their families. This support is face-to-face and provided 24/7 at the RCH.

2. Counselling for children living in metro west Melbourne who have experienced sexual harm or engaged in harmful sexual behaviour and their families.

3. Consultation and professional education to enhance capacity, confidence and capability in the community for the safety, rights and recovery of children after sexual harm.

Role Overview

As the Team Coordinator, you will provide operational leadership and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team providing therapeutic services to children who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour, and their families. This involves:

· responsibility for the daily operations of the service including supporting timely access to services

· ensuring the provision of high-quality therapeutic interventions

· allocating resources and management of staff

· building and maintaining strong relationships with partner agencies in the community

· identifying opportunities for collaborative initiatives to improve service access and promote integrative practice.

Make a real impact by leading a dynamic multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, trauma-focused recovery services for children through strategic collaboration and evidence-based innovation.

 

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

· Recognised qualification in relevant discipline with current registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership with professional body (where relevant)

· Demonstrated ability to lead a clinical service that is high-quality, client-centred, evidence-informed, and complies with relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

· Demonstrated experience in leading people and program service delivery at an operational level with accountability for financial and people management functions.

· Demonstrated collaborative, interpersonal, relationship building and written communication skills to support integrated service delivery with children, young people and families, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.

Classification for this position will range from:

· Social Worker Grade 4, Years 1-4 (SC53 – SC46)

· Occupational Therapy Grade 4, Years 1-4 (VG14 – VG17)

· Psychology Grade 4, Years 1-5 (PM1 – PM5)

· Clinical Nurse Consultant C Year 1-Year 2 (ZA7-ZA8)
