About the role

 

This Part Time position (22.8hours per week), within the Brimbank Melton Infant Child and Family Health and Wellbeing Hub Mental Health department will ensure early interventions , treatment for children and their families between the ages of 0-11. Where the child may be experiencing emotional difficulties

You will purposefully and expertly engage children, young people and their families in recovery focused care.

You will provide discipline specific interventions and work collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to provide high quality inter-disciplinary care (including face to face and over the phone).

 

This is a rewarding role which will see you involved with all aspects of mental health, including and delivery of great care.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Provide excellent secondary consultation to other health, education, and community services/providers to enhance coordinated care and build mental health capacity in these services.
  • This position will join the RCH Mental Health team, working alongside the coordinator, clinical team, and Hub partners to stand up the Brimbank Melton hub.
  • As well as immediately working directly with families, these positions would also initially assist the Team Coordinator and hub partners to develop a model of care for the hub, including through codesign with people with a lived experience.

 

Classification for this position with range from Grade 2 year 1 -4  (base salary $90,812.80 to $102,757.20 per annum, plus superannuation)

 

Your skills and experience

Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of ASW

Relevant experience in working with children and families.

Relevant mental health experience.

About Brimbank Melton Infant Child and Family Health and Wellbeing Hub

 

The hub will help infants and children aged 0-11 who are experiencing emotional, social and/or behavioural issues. The hubs have a low barrier to entry and are designed to be non-stigmatising, accepting referrals directly from families, as well as health, educational and social services professionals.  With RCH Mental Health Service delivering the mental health services in the Brimbank Melton hub,
