About the role:
This is a full-time position at 1.0 FTE fixed term role within the Parkville EMR team. All staff employed in the Parkville EMR team will provide a sustainable and effective electronic medical record service to all health services across the Parkville Precinct (The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Womens Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Childrens Hospital) and will service the 15,000+ clinicians and hospital staff with the day to day management and operation of the EMR. The EMR Inpatient Team (including Clinical Documentation) supports applications used by a wide variety of clinicians. The Parkville EMR Analysts are responsible for the design, build, testing, configuration, installation, and support of the EMR
You will work collaboratively with the Parkville EMR team, local health service EMR teams and key stakeholders, EMR vendor and technical teams, to ensure the EMR is maintained, operates and optimised for the Parkville EMR Service for the benefit of all 4 health services. This position will be based at 635 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, and may require you to work on a rotating on-call, after-hours roster. There are flexible working options including hybrid onsite and working from home.
Classification for this position will range from AO61 to AO65.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Knowledge of EMR environment including application, infrastructure and end user devices is highly desirable;
- Proactive and takes initiative and responsibility;
- Proven leadership capabilities and strong stakeholder management skills with particular emphasis on influencing, negotiating and gaining consensus;
- Strong interpersonal skills with particular emphasis on gaining consensus, facilitation and consultation;
- Ability to present technical concepts in simple and understandable terms so as both technical and non-technical audiences gain an understanding;
- Experience in managing complex work environments and conflicting stakeholder interests;
- Well-developed organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities in order to meet deadlines;
- Highly developed analytical and innovative problem solving skills;
- Demonstrated ability to providing multiple solutions to a problem and communicate with stakeholders and agree a way forward.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Competent in using Microsoft suite programes such as, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint to support project management functions.
- Ability to clearly define, articulate and document strategy, processes and procedures;
- Ability to critically review design documents and specifications with an eye for detail;
- Ability to present to groups of people.
