Program Support Officer (Grade 3) - Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP)

About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position until 5th February 2027 at 45.6 hours per fortnight with the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP).
Based at our Parkville campus, this part-time role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of data and administrative processes that support our state-wide newborn hearing screening program. You will assist with managing the program’s databases, generating accurate reports, supporting team operations, and ensuring data integrity across multiple digital systems. Your work will support effective service delivery and improve outcomes for families across Victoria.
Classification for this position will range from AO31 – AO35 (FTE base salary $74,448.40 to $82,305.60 per annum, plus superannuation).
What you’ll achieve:

Provide high-level support for database management and program reporting.

Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of patient and program data.

Collaborate with team members to enhance data-related processes.

Assist in compliance with data privacy, health sector, and RCH protocols.

Contribute to operational needs including procurement, communications, and onboarding support.

Support continuous improvement of administrative and program systems.
Your skills and experience:

Experience in administrative roles within a healthcare setting.

Strong proficiency in using patient data systems and digital applications.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Skilled in preparing reports, documentation, and communication materials.

About the Department
The Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program (VIHSP) is dedicated to early detection of hearing loss in newborns across Victoria, ensuring timely intervention and support for affected families. Operating within the Centre for Community Child Health, the program works closely with hospitals and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality hearing screening services, contributing to the overall health and development of infants.
